Overview

WRC Comedy ("the App") is a venue companion app for West River Comedy Club in Rapid City, South Dakota. The App is developed and maintained by Traditionally Different Technology LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information the App handles and how it is used.

The short version: WRC Comedy does not track you, does not sell your data, and does not use advertising identifiers. Data is used only to run the app experience you choose to use.

Information We Collect

The App may collect or process the following information when you use specific features:

  • Account and profile information: Name, email address, profile role, onboarding status, and app settings used for sign-in, profile setup, permissions, and role-based access.
  • Open mic signup information: Performer name, confirmation email from your signed-in account, optional phone number, and optional notes about what you are working on. Managers may also add walk-in signup entries from a physical list.
  • User-generated content: Critique submissions, forum posts, report reasons, set notes, open mic notes, and other text you intentionally submit in app workflows.
  • Photos or videos: Optional gallery uploads you choose to submit after a show.
  • Ticket references: Ticket purchase history or checkout references needed to display ticket-related app functionality when available.

How We Use Information

Information is used for app functionality only, including sign-in, onboarding, open mic signup confirmation, host list management, show discovery, ticket checkout handoff, gallery moderation, critique/forum participation, content reporting, and account support.

Third-Party Services

WRC Comedy uses selected service providers to run the App:

  • Supabase: Authentication, database, role-based access, and photo storage.
  • TicketTailor and Stripe: Hosted ticket checkout and payment processing. WRC Comedy does not receive or store raw credit card numbers.
  • Resend: Transactional email confirmations, such as open mic signup confirmation messages.
  • OpenAI and Anthropic: Optional AI-assisted moderation, critique, and host-assistant workflows. These services are used to support app functionality, not advertising.

Tracking and Advertising

The App does not use third-party advertising, does not read the IDFA, does not link your app data with third-party data for ads or measurement, and does not share data with data brokers. App Tracking Transparency is not required because the App does not track you.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers listed above as needed to provide App functionality, comply with law, protect safety, or operate the venue workflows you choose to use.

Data Visibility

Most public browsing can be used without an account. Signed-in users can see and manage their own account-linked details. Management and admin users may see venue operations data needed to run open mic lists, moderation, reports, gallery review, and related venue workflows. Private contact details are not intended for public display.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep account, signup, moderation, ticket-reference, and user-generated records as long as needed to provide the App, support the venue, preserve safety/audit history, or comply with legal obligations. You may request account deletion or data support by contacting us.

Security

The App uses Supabase authentication, row-level security, role-based access controls, and platform security controls. No system can guarantee perfect security, but we design the App to limit access to the information needed for each role and workflow.

Children's Privacy

WRC Comedy is intended for a comedy club audience and includes mature venue content. The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date.
