BTYBD: Harm Reduction Guide ("the App") is developed and maintained by Traditionally Different Technology LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), located in Rapid City, South Dakota. This privacy policy describes how the App handles your information.

The short version: We collect nothing. Your data stays on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:

  • No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
  • No advertising identifiers or ad tracking

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data exclusively on your device using local storage (SQLite database). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party:

  • Trip Journal Entries: Personal journal entries you create are stored locally on your device only. They are not synced to any cloud service and cannot be accessed by anyone other than you.
  • Bookmarks: Content you bookmark for later reference is stored locally on your device only.
  • App Preferences: Settings and preferences are stored locally using standard platform storage mechanisms.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The App does not contain any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

The iOS version of the App may optionally connect to the PubChem API (a free, public database maintained by the National Institutes of Health) to retrieve molecular structure data for the Molecule Studio feature. These requests contain only chemical compound identifiers (e.g., "psilocybin") and no personal information.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data. There is nothing to share.

Children's Privacy

The App is rated 17+ and is not intended for use by children under 17 years of age. The App does not knowingly collect any information from any users, including children.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

  • Deleting the App removes all locally stored data (journal entries, bookmarks, preferences).
  • We have no ability to access, retain, or delete your data because it never leaves your device.

Security

Your data is protected by your device's built-in security measures (device passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, biometric lock). The App stores data using standard platform storage mechanisms that inherit your device's encryption when enabled.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. The App's fundamental commitment to collecting no data is unlikely to change.
