Website Project Questionnaire

Before I start building, I need to understand your business, your goals, and where things stand right now. This usually takes 15–20 minutes.

Fields marked * are required.

1. About Your Business

Let's start with the basics.

Business name *

Your name *

Email *

Phone

What does your business do? *

Do you have an existing website? If yes, what's the URL?

What's wrong with it? (Or if you don't have one — what made you decide you need one now?)

When do you need this live?

Budget range

Cost note: Most small-business website projects land in the low thousands depending on size and complexity. Once I understand your scope, you'll get a clear number before any work starts — no surprise invoices.

2. Domain & Hosting

If you don't know the answers to these, that's okay. I can help sort it out.

Do you own a domain name? If yes, what is it?

Why this matters: If you don't own your domain, I need to help you handle that first. It's your address on the internet — you should own it, not your old web designer.

Where is it registered?

Do you have login credentials for it?

Current hosting?

Business email?

Any other domains that should point to the new site?

3. Design & Content

This helps me understand the look and feel you're going for.

Do you have a logo?

Brand colors?

What websites do you like the look of? (2–3 examples)

How many pages do you need?

Do you have written content ready?

Content tip: I can work with bullet points and rough notes. But the closer to final your content is, the faster the project goes.

Do you have photos? (Product shots, team photos, location, projects)

No photos? I also do professional photography — headshots, product shots, location photos. I can bundle that into the project.

Do you want a blog?

4. Functionality

What does the site need to do beyond look good?

Contact form — what info do you need to collect?

Online scheduling or booking?

Online store / e-commerce?

If yes — how many products? What payment processor? (Square, Stripe, PayPal)

What features do you need?

Social media links Google Maps embed Google Analytics Email marketing (Mailchimp, etc.) CRM integration POS system connection

Which social platforms are you active on?

Any other tools or services that need to connect to the site?

5. SEO & Online Presence

This helps me make sure people can actually find your site.

What would someone search on Google to find a business like yours? (3–5 phrases) *

Do you have a Google Business Profile?

Are you listed on Yelp, Angi, or other directories?

Do you run any ads? (Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, etc.)

6. After Launch

Planning ahead so your site stays in good shape.

Who will update the site after it's live?

How often will content change?

Interested in a maintenance plan?

Maintenance plan: An optional monthly retainer covers support hours, priority scheduling, and proactive check-ins — keeping your site updated, secure, and running right without you having to think about it. I'll give you the number up front.

Anything else I should know?

I'll review your answers and get back to you the same business day with next steps. Your answers go to Netlify Forms, then to me — details in the privacy notice.
